With the sewing pattern “The Jean Jacket” you can sew the perfect jacket for cool summer nights. The denim jacket sewing pattern with instructions is ideal for advanced sewers. Thanks to the overcut shoulders, loose fit and double topstitching, the jacket gets a classic denim look and completes any outfit. In addition to the large patch pockets, it also features side slash pockets. Just choose your preferred length – whether cropped or long – this jacket will not only keep you stylishly warm, but will also never go out of fashion!

There is nothing more frustrating than when a homemade garment ends up fitting poorly. That’s over now! Because when you take the time to sew a garment yourself, you deserve it to be perfect. That’s why our patterns are now also available in the variant “Customized to your measurements”. How does it work? Choose the option “Customized to your measurements”, measure yourself according to our instructions and enter your current measurements in our form. Our designers then construct your individual pattern. You will receive it within 1 to maximum 2 weeks after filling out the form as paper pattern or digital pattern by email and can start sewing without fear that your garment will not fit in the end as expected.

Required materials

• medium weight denim without or with little elastane, e.g. organic cotton with a fabric width of at least 140cm (1.5yd):
  Cropped version XS-S: 2m (2.2yd) | M-XXXL: 2,70m (3yd)
  Long version XS-S: 2,35m (2.6yd) | M-XXXL: 2,80m (3.1yd)
• Interfacing, e.g. H200, XS-XXXL: 70cm (28in)
• matching jeans sewing thread
• 9-10 shank buttons (depending on length)
• Sewing machine with sewing machine needle suitable for fabric thickness
  Tip: We use a denim fabric for The Jean Jacket made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane with a weight of 320g/m2.

Which size is the right one? As always, take a look at our size chart. Even if your measurements are slightly different, it’s not a problem! The casual silhouette allows for a cool and casual fit on all of us!
